Happy 4th Of July!

Sitting watching the fireworks... how beautiful they are!

Well, I guess I should tell you we aren't allowed back at the park. Someone saw Baileigh make a mess in her skirt, and as we all walked away, they noticed we had all peed on the ground. The cops were called and we were told not to go back to the park. Oh well.

Today, we remember our love for our country. It moves me. I feel I can do anything, in this land of the free, home of the brave. Of course, I know it is just the romance of the holiday. I'm so glad we take one special day out of the year to remember our founding fathers, to be glad we are free!

Nataleigh wanted to light fireworks, but I told her that is the boys job. She pouted, but I allowed her a sparkler to wave around. Joshua had fun helping his father and Troy light them and throwing those little gunpowder balls at the ground. Elizabeth and I sat and watched with contentment in our hearts.

Its so sad we are so busy to remember Freedom, but today is the day we all can remember it.

Thank you Heavenly Father for our freedom.

In God We Trust

  1. Ha! You got caught and righfully so! Anyone who pees on the ground in a skirt or with their pants down deserve to be banned from the park. I hope you get caught again and then maybe you will learn your lesson for teaching your kids gross things!

    1. You are not a very NICE person. You must be very troubled in your life. I will pray for you. Meanwhile, we won't get caught again. We are going to another park by our house where they actually clean the bathrooms. Nobody could see what we were doing anyway, we showed no flesh, our "pants" were not down. We did nothing illegal, and we are taking it to court because there was no indecent exposure.

    2. I won't comment on what you did, since I don't know where you were or how private it was. However, perhaps you could consider carrying a small bottle of hand sanitizer from now on. It's very helpful in many settings, especially when you have small children. You can clean the toilet seats very well with that and some tissue. And clean everyone's hands as well. In many places public urination is illegal -- and if they know you do it, it's considered public, even if no one could see, Wet wipes would work as well but much more expensive and less versatile. ;) You can buy a small bottle with its own "leash" that can attach to your belt or purse for around $1-2, and when it's empty keep the leash, and just replace with another bottle.

  2. Public urination is made a crime in many areas seeking to have people use toilets rather than empty their bladder in a public place. Public urination laws are primarily governed by state and local laws, which vary by jurisdiction. It is possible to be charged with littering, public nuisance, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, or other law if the locality doesn't have a law specifically addressing public urination. More than likely the officer took down your name So next time you could be charged with a Class C misdemeanor Because it is not legal in any state. Sorry. Also I'm kind of surprise you do fireworks I enjoy them too but typically do not spend more than $5 for them. The Bible teaches us to be good stewards And that definitely goes for money as well And I feel like fireworks can be a frivolous use of money Basically just setting money on fire... but they do look beautiful

    1. I see, well thank you for letting me know that.

We didn't spend anything. Elizabeth and her husband do fireworks every year. So they bought them all. Its the first week we have done it. Usually we go to the back side of the race track, where we won't be around the alcohol, and watch the fireworks there. We like to do that during race season too.

  3. If you refuse to use a restroom because of it not being clean then at least have the decency to wait until you get home or stop at a nearby public place. Yes what you did was wrong. It is disgusting and rude. With all the disease going on nowadays no one wants to step in your urine. That's unsanitary and gross. Its a good thing you were caught. Great parenting skills. What an amazing way to teach your children how to act in public. Just what Christ would want you to do.
