Kaileigh will not be a doctor.

My middle daughter Kaileigh came to me this morning and said "I'm gonna be a doctor!" I was shocked at first. Then I started laughing.
"Kaileigh dear," I said. "You are going to be a wife and a mother. Girls can't be doctors. They have to make God happy and stay home. Your brother can be a doctor, but not you."
"But that's not fair!" She said.
"That's the way its done. Now go play with your sisters."
Amazing the ideas kids come up with.

  1. Just out of curiosity (not be argue by any means) but what if she decides to be single like Paul and dedicate her life to God? In a case like that wouldn't it be acceptable for her to go the route of being a Doctor? Honestly I am also raising my children the same way - girls will be wives/mothers while boys wil be husbands/dads...but I always keep it inthe back of my mind that they may decide not to get married one day.

  2. If she chooses to be single and dedicate her life to God, I suppose that would be okay. However, God created woman to be a helpmeet to man. Any missionary work would need to be overseen by her father or brother, to protect her, to keep her pure. I suppose she could be a midwife... but a female doctor just seems so wrong.

  3. You are so wrong!!! Your children need to be taken from you. You are not mentally stable enough to be a mother. I hope children services takes your kids to safety, you stupid women.
